I have a confession to make, cooking really isn’t my thing. I’m not one of those folks that can whip up a new recipe with this and that on hand. I love simple ingredients that require little work.
A friend of mine, Alissa, is the opposite. She loves to experiment with each season’s bounty. She combines her love of cooking using fresh local produce with her job as Neighborhood Coordinator for The Produce Box.
Alissa has agreed to share some of her seasonal recipes with us! Yay! Below is her corn salad. It is delicious! Not only is it cheaper to buy locally and seasonally, there are more nutrients in local food because it gets from farm to table faster!
Try this out! And if you are interested in learning more about The Produce Box, please go to theproducebox.com.
